Zedd - I Want You To Know (feat. Selena Gomez) [2015]

I WAS a mega fan of Selena (Now, become a fan -- only regular fan). I bought her debut and sophomore album, and I totally loved it. Until, she and Justin become a couple, I started to stop loving her. But then, I found myself jamming to the For You album, which is nice. So, I'm back become her big-fan.

I like Zedd. He's making some 'legendary' EDM tracks: Clarity, Stay The Night, Find You, Break Free. Another reason why I like him that he is so cute; He posted some dork faces on his instagram, which can make my day. I'm so looking forward to his next project and album. Clarity was a grower and still stuck in my head. I don't know whether Zedd making a good music (Clarity) or Foxes just hot as hell. Can't decided.

I almost scream a few week ago when Zedd posted a single cover for his future project -- with Selena Gomez! I wish it would be a big smash like Clarity did. I really want to go to February 23rd at that time, and go back to the exact date and living my life regularly. Besides the rumor (Zelena 4EVA!!), I just only care about the music. Until Febrary 23rd came yesterday, I was one of the first who listen the song (when the video on Youtube hit 301 views). After the first listen, I was like.........

Lady GaGa - ARTPOP [2013]

We should admit that Lady GaGa is stroming our day since 2009, with her weird outfit and etc. Until 2013, until I realize that Lady GaGa fame is finally over because this album is not selling as well as her previous albums. Well, I hesitate to take a listen on this album because there's Katy Perry's album coming too, but if fact, I didn't listen to both of these albums. I was fanboying at that time to some KPOP's group which I couldn't remember.

I happened at 2014, when I'm so bored and GaGa just dropped the G.U.Y video, and my thought told me to listen to the whole album. That was a magical moment for me. Well, actually since the release of the album, I only listened to Dope. Dope such an amazing ballad track and I still wish that she made a video for it, doesn't matter if it's cheap, I just want this song to be a single. Well, back to G.U.Y, after I saw the video, I decided to take a minute to listen to the album.

Meghan Trainor - Title (Album) [2015]

Meghan Trainor is the big thing in 2014. Aku harus akui kalau lagu debutnya All About That Bass merupakan earworm. Padahal awalnya aku agak ragu kalau dia adalah tipe penyanyiku karena aku merasa annoyed mendengar lagunya tersebut. Sampai lagunya mencapai nomor 1 di Hot 100, aku pun mulai menikmatinya. "Well, she's the next Carly Rae Jepsen," begitu lah yang aku pikirkan. Sebagian besar chart didominasi oleh lagunya. Sebagai 'perkenalan', ia merilis sebuah EP, berjudul Title, berisi 4 lagu: All About That Bass, Dear Future Husband, Title, Close Your Eyes. I totally love the EP! Pada saat itu aku sangat menanti full length album dari Title.


Cara ini persis sama dengan Carly Rae Jepsen, EP terlebih dahulu, kemudian full length album. Karena aku sangat menikmati EP-nya, ada dua ketakutan yang ada di pikiranku (berdasarkan hal yang terjadi pada Carly Rae Jepsen):

1. Single kedua akan terdengar sangat cheesy dan terdengar dibuat terburu-buru, karena tuntutan pasar. Walaupun menggandeng 'orang terkenal', it doesn't work. Listen: Caarly Rae Jepsen - This Kiss >> Reality: Single kedua Meghan berjudul Lips Are Movin' terdengar seperti Bass 2.0. Dengan mengganti beberapa instrumen dan lirik, Ta Da!! Bass 2.0. Tapi, yang perlu dicatat adalah Bass 2.0 is strangely enjoyable. Walaupun tidak se-wah the-original-Bass, but it's totally worth to listen.
2. Album tidak akan mencapai puncak yang tinggi di chart (terutama Billboard 200) karena album terdengar sangat monoton >> Reality: the-full-Title berhasil jadi nomor 1, menggeser 1989 walaupun cuma seminggu. Ketakutan selanjutnya adalah albumnya akan terdengar monoton: hal ini tidak terjadi. I totally enjoy every tracks on the album. Karena begitu enjoyable, aku merekomendasikan untuk membeli bentuk fisiknya. I already bought mine.
